Nolton Haven near Haverfordwest


Haverfordwest - Haverfordwest gained its name through a combination of being the first place on the river that allowed a safe opportunity to ford the Western Cleddau, and from the old English word haefer, meaning buck or he-goat. Together, Haefer-ford-west was formed meaning the place where goats crossed the river. This market town is full of history, tales and landmarks which illustrate its varied past. With such a tale to tell, a visit to Haverfordwest Information centre is a must.
